The 2011 NAPPSA conference was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Hundreds of Nigerian health professionals both in the U.S and Nigeria attended the four day conference to learn and discuss the pressing issues in the provision of healthcare in Nigeria. In an effort to gain the support of the Nigerian community, RISE Global Health Initiative showcased the organization’s mission and programs during the two day NAPPSA Exhibit, a one thousand dollar booth graciously donated by NAPPSA President, Nnodum Iheme. On day one of the conference, Dean Palmer Taylor from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) presented on the international programs offered at SSPPS and gave a brief introduction of the RISE Global Health Initiative.
